Gambling - Gambling Commission's Enforcement Report 2017-2018

For the first time since the creation of the Gambling Commission has published a report of the enforcement action it has taken over the past year.

The new Chief Executive of the Commission, Neil McArthur,  states in his foreword to the report:

“We want operators to pay attention to the lessons set out in this document. We want them to focus on ways to make gambling fairer and safer for consumers in Great Britain. We also want operators to collaborate and invest the same amount of resource, technology and research into building better protections for consumers, as they do to creating new products, or advertising and marketing campaigns.”

This is in keeping with the Commission’s long standing mantra of Operators learning lessons and striving for developments and improvements in the way they safeguard their customers.  This report follows a number of high profile statements released jointly by the Commission and significant Operators following the conclusion of enforcement actions over recent years
